Sue And Dana Anderson Ready To Join The WWU Athletics Hall Of Fame

Anderson Arena is named after Sue and Dana Anderson
FULTON, Mo. – Our next inductees into the 2016 William Woods University Athletics Hall of Fame are Sue and Dana Anderson (Contributors), who have had an enormous impact and installed an everlasting impression on WWU Athletics.

"We feel honored and glad we can contribute to William Woods," said Dana Anderson. "It's been a special part of Sue's life and she is proud to see its growth and transition from a two year girl's school, to a four year co-ed University."

Anderson Arena in the Helen Stephens Sports Complex is named for Dana and Sue Anderson, in appreciation of their generous donation toward its complete renovation in 2007. The couple made another generous donation in the fall of 2014 to assist in the renovation of the Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.

Anderson added, "We were very happy to help convert the arena and we both played tennis in our younger days so we are enjoy watching it in person and on TV."

Nancy Sue Falley Anderson came to William Woods from Topeka, Kansas, and graduated in 1961 with an A.A. degree. In 2005, she was appointed to the William Woods University Board of Trustees and is a member at-large of the executive committee.

Sue, also served as an Imagine Campaign Co-Chair. The Imagine Campaign was a three-part fundraising campaign with included the Center for Ethics and Global Studies, the Alumni and Visitors' Center and Sorority Circle.

In 2010, Dana Anderson received the Order of the Owl Award, which is designed to honor spouses of William Woods alumni who have shown special interest in promoting and supporting the activities of the university.

"We are both very impressed with how successful the transition to a co-ed, four year university has transpired and we are both happy to be a part of all that progress," expressed Anderson.

The Andersons are no strangers to the WWU Hall of Fame ceremony, as they were special guests at the WWU Commencement in 2007, when Dana served as commencement speaker.

Sue and her husband, Dana, reside in Los Angeles, California. They have four children, one of whom, Jenee, is an alumna of both the undergraduate and graduate programs here at WWU.
