Putnam, a freshman from Columbia, Missouri, was named AMC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance over October 9 through the 15th. During that time she finished the Cowbell Classic in a time of 24:57 over the 6K course for a finish of 170th place. She followed that with a 20:10.45 5K performance at the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic, where she finished in 13th place.
