William Woods University Sports Medicine

The mission of the William Woods University Sports Medicine department is to provide and maintain a high standard of care for all our athletic 
teams and help injured or ill student-athletes return to participation safely and efficiently.

Athletic Training is a specialized field of sports medicine that encompasses injury risk and reduction, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate 
and emergency care, therapeutic rehabilitation interventions, health care organization and administration.

Jacob Kent, MS, LAT, ATC- Director of Sports Medicine (Football, M/W Wrestling, Women’s Flag Football, Assist Golf)
Sam Trzecki, MEd, LAT, ATC- Associate Director of Sports Medicine (Cheer and Dance, Volleyball, Track and Field)
Richelle Brugman, MEd, LAT, ATC- Associate Athletic Trainer (M/W Soccer, Outdoor Life Sports, Men’s Lacrosse)
Alexis Hassler, MAT, LAT, ATC- Assistant Athletic Trainer (Cross Country, Golf, M/W Basketball, Softball)
Nick Andrews, LAT, ATC- Assistant Athletic Trainer (Assist Football, Tennis, Baseball) 
Dr. Jeffrey Klott, MD- Head Team Physician- Orthopedics

    By Appointment Only, M-F 8:00AM-3:00PM
        - Pre-practice preparation will begin one hour prior to practice start time.

Healthy Roster:

All athletes that are added to a teams roster will be sent an email with a code to join Healthy Roster. At that time the 
student-athlete must complete all forms, including uploading front and back of insurance cards. Please be sure to check your
