Zavala, a freshman from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, has not lost a match the entire spring semester. She was 8-0 in doubles in the month of March and is a perfect 10-0 on the season. She is ranked fourth nationally in doubles and is also ranked 30th in singles. She is the highest ranked player obtained by a freshman player in doubles. Zavala is 3-0 in singles, including a win over the No. 44 player in the country and a win over defending national champion Georgia Gwinnett.
