ST. JOSEPH, Mo. –The William Woods University women's golf team closed out the two-day Holiday Inn Express Classic hosted by Missouri Western University at the St. Joseph Country Club with an eighth-place finish.
The Owls dropped to eighth after sitting in fifth place at the conclusion of day one. The Owls shot a 345 on day two to close out the two-day classic.
Maria Zrodowska finished in a three-way tie for fourth place after shooting an 81 on day two. She shot 11 pars in the second round, totaling 22 pars on the classic. She was three over on par fours and four over on par threes throughout the 36 holes.
Paige Hawkins came in second for the Owls and tied for 27th. She shot an 83 on day two with one birdie on a par five, eight pars and eight bogeys. She was just two over on par threes to finish the classic with a 168.
Kelsey Moreland scored an 86, taking one stroke off from day one to tie for 43
rd. She shot with five pars and 12 bogeys.
Krystal Burgtorf dropped significantly after shooting a 95 on day two, moving her into a tie for 49
thplace. She shot two pars and 11 bogeys in round two.
Jennah Schell rounded out the Owls' team with a 108 round two score. She placed 79
thwith a 204 total score. She shot two pars on two par threes on the front nine.
