No. 9 Owls Sweep No. 21 Campbellsville, 4-0

MACON, Ga. – The No. 9 William Woods University men's tennis team swept No. 21 Campbellsville University (Ky.) Monday afternoon, 4-0. The win brings the Owls to 3-1 on the season.
 
The Owls continue their spring break trip at No. 6 Middle Georgia State University on Tuesday, March 3, at 1 p.m.
 
Match Flow
The Owls jumped out to a 1-0 lead following doubles play as they only allowed CU one game through two sets. The Aaron Westerlund and Nathan Cooke duo in the No. 1 doubles swept their opponent, 6-0. Jesus Amezcua and Zach Frisbie grabbed the second and final win needed for the double's point with a 6-1 win in the No. 2 doubles.
 
Frisbie grabbed the first singles win in the No. 6 spot, 6-4, 6-2. Amezcua finished next, defeating his opponent in the No. 4 singles with a 6-2 and 6-3 score. Bird grabbed the final point needed to win the set in the No. 5 spot. He easily won the first set, 6-1, but had to go to a tiebreaker in set two, 7-6 (8).
