BOLIVAR, Mo. – The No. 21 William Woods University women's golf team placed ninth out of 17 teams to complete the 2021 Lady Panther Invite hosted by Drury University at the Silo Ridge Country Club. The Owls were the top NAIA team, defeating conference opponent Columbia College by two strokes.
The team shot a 662 through the two rounds (333-329). NCAA Division II Christian Brothers University won the Invite with a 629.
Maria Zrodowska placed fourth with a 155 (76-79). She shot 11 pars and seven bogeys on the day.
Paige Hawkins finished in a four-way tie for 26
th with a 164 (82-82). She shot a birdie on hole 10's par four, nine pars, five bogeys and three double bogeys.
Krystal Burgtorf tied for 42
nd with a 167 (84-83). She shot a birdie on hole six's par five, nine pars, six bogeys and two double+ bogeys.
Maria Ortiz Rozo tied for 75
th with a 178 (91-87).
Jennah Schell also tied for 75
th with a 178 (93-85). Ortiz Rozo shot seven pars, eight bogeys and three double+ bogeys. Schell shot six pars, 11 bogeys and one double bogey.
Playing as individuals were
Alissa Olson,
Victoria Hooker and
Maddison Fenner. Olson finished in a six-way tie for 69
th with a 177 (88-89). Hooker tied for 82
nd with a 181 (89-92), and Fenner placed 98
th with a 207 (103-104).
