Men's golf finished the WWU Fall Invitational in third place with a five-over par 581. They were just one stroke out of tying Columbia College for second place and two out from tying for first. Central Methodist won the invitational with a three-over 579.
The Owls "B" team placed fifth with a 600 (299-301).
Tom Gehring tied for third with a 144 (70-74). He shot three birdies, 11 pars, three bogeys and one double bogey.
Brayden Buffington finished in a four-way tie for sixth with a 146 (73-73). He shot four birdies, 10 pars, three bogeys and one double bogey.
Jack Stark moved up 15 spots to finish in a five-way tie for 10
th place with a 147. He shot three birdies, 13 pars, and two bogeys for a one under par.
Arron Patel and
Trey Hamilton also tied for 10
th (74-73). Patel shot two birdies, 14 pars, one bogey and one double bogey, and Hamilton shot three birdies, 11 pars and four bogeys.
Aiden Asby tied for 19
th with a 150 (73-77). He shot four birdies, eight pars, four bogeys and two double+ bogeys.
Theo Brown tied for 23
rd with a 152 (77-75). He shot a birdie, 13 pars, and four bogeys.
Pheemawat Wimonrat and
Spencer Worley finished in a four-way tie for 28
th with a 154. Wimonrat (74-80) shot 14 pars, one bogey and three double+ bogeys, and Worley (83-71) shot four birdies, 11 pars, and three bogeys.
Reece McMurdo tied for 38
th with a 160 (79-81). He shot two birdies, 10 pars, two bogeys and four double+ bogeys.
Evan LaPosha tied for 44
th with a 164 (81-83),
Thomas Crum placed 54
th with a 178 (86-92) and
Grant Mach placed 55
th with a 181 (88-93).
Next up for the Owls is the CC Cougar Classic hosted by Columbia College on Oct. 3-4.
