MARSHALL, Mo. - William Woods teed off its season in the three-round Missouri Valley College Fall Invitational, taking third with a 1111 (370, 361, 380; +247), 39 strokes behind second-place Missouri Valley and 46 away from first-place Central Methodist.

Kennedy Dickerson guided the Owls to a top-three finish, posting a 263 (87, 89, 87; +47) to place fifth in the first invitational of the season, which took place Monday and Tuesday at Indian Foothills Golf Course.

Alissa Olson joined Dickerson as a WWU golfer in the top half of the individual leaderboard, shooting a 274 (93, 89, 92; +58) to finish 11th in the 22-competitor field. Evangel had the top two players, with Catherine Rhoads' 250 (88, 79, 83; +34) topping the leaderboard.

Returning to Fulton, the Owls host the WWU Fall Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at Tanglewood Golf Course. The competition tees off at 9 a.m. on both days.
