FOLEY, Ala. – The William Woods University Archery team closed out its season with a strong showing at the USA Archery 3D Collegiate Nationals, held in Foley, Alabama. Eight Owls represented The Woods across multiple divisions after qualifying by scoring in the top 25 percent of their respective classes.
Leading the way for the Owls was Garret Crocker, who placed ninth out of 63 competitors in the Men's Compound class with an impressive score of 440. Crocker's consistency across both days of shooting marked the program's top individual finish of the weekend.
In the Women's Compound division, Kylie Hayes finished 28th out of 62 with a score of 403, while the Mixed Compound Team of Crocker and Hayes combined for a 10th-place finish with a total of 843 points.
The Fixed Pin shooters also made their mark, as Caleb Hayes posted a strong 12th-place finish out of 90 in the Men's Fixed Pin class with a score of 415. His teammate Tyler Winslett placed 39th with a 387. On the women's side, Emma Agers finished 44th with a 335, and Leah Grantham placed 53rd with a 311. The Fixed Pin Mixed Team of Hayes and Agers combined for 15th place with a total score of 750.
In the Barebow category, Ella Hinson led the Owls with a 17th-place finish out of 68 shooters, scoring 299, while Paige Potteiger finished close behind in 23rd with 282.
This event wraps up the 2025 Fall Season for the Owls, as they look to carry over a strong start to the year for the Spring Season.
