BOONVILLE, Mo. - Allyson Hollrah and Alissa Olson leaped up the 29-golfer leaderboard, securing top-10 finishes for William Woods University in the CMU Spring Invitational, hosted by future conference opponent Central Methodist University from Monday to Tuesday at the par-71, 5,982-yard Hail Ridge Golf Course.

"Felt like it was another successful week with tough conditions on Tuesday and feel like we are learning more about ourselves and learning to push through in our rounds," William Woods golf coach Aaron Murphy said.

Of the two Owls rising up the standings, Hollrah's was most impressive, jumping eight spots from Round 1 to Round 2 and shooting a 28-over 170 (88, 82). On Day 2, Hollrah earned both of her birdies, carding the first on the par-4, 299-yard fifth hole and second on the par-5, 472-yard eighth hole.

Meanwhile, Olson played consistent golf and elevated her placing by one spot, tying for 10th with a 175 (87, 88). She recorded one birdie, earning it on the par-5, 508-yard 14th hole in Round 1.

Kennedy Dickerson also had a birdie and posted the Owls' best score in Round 1 with a 14-over 85. The Centralia alumna finished the invitational tied for 12th with a 177.

Haley Baskett recorded The Woods' best hole, eagling the par-5, 472-yard eighth hole in Round 1.

William Woods placed fourth out of five teams, signing for a 139-over 707 (350, 357). Mount Mercy University topped the team leaderboard with a 662 (318, 344), and Missouri Valley College's Hanna Rieker won the individual title with a 152 (72, 80).

The Owls are back in action when they host the William Woods University Spring Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton.
