FULTON, Mo. - Hosting their third and final tournament on the season, the Owls of William Woods University placed fourth out of nine teams in the WWU Spring Invitational, which took place Monday and Tuesday on the home greens of Tanglewood Golf Course.

As a team, The Woods carded a 129-over 705 (341, 364), 40 strokes ahead of fifth-place University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy in St. Louis and 53 behind third-place Central Methodist University. Columbia College topped the leaderboard with a 636 (312, 324), while NJCAA Division I John A. Logan College had a 647 (320, 327).

"Today, with the tough conditions, it made it a lot tougher," William Woods golf coach Aaron Murphy said. "A couple of girls just kept it right through where they shot yesterday, so it was definitely a good step in the right direction."

Guiding the Owls on the invitational, Kennedy Dickerson put together two of her best rounds for William Woods, scoring a 21-over 165 (81, 84) to take 10th out of 41 golfers. She had two birdies in each round.

Joining Dickerson in the top half of the leaderboard for WWU, Alissa Olson posted a 174 (83, 91) with two birdies during Round 1. The Owls' Allyson Hollrah also totaled two birdies, placing 24th with a 180 (87, 93).

William Woods will be back on the course for the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy Spring Invitational, which will be hosted by AMC opponent UHSP next Monday and Tuesday in St. Louis.
