Woods Falls in Four

Henley Records 26 Digs in Loss
(FULTON, Mo., Oct. 18)--The William Woods University volleyball team lost to visiting Missouri Baptist University 3-1 on Monday night. The Spartans won 25-20, 23-25, 25-22 and 26-24. With the loss, William Woods falls to 14-16 overall and 6-6 in the American Midwest Conference. Missouri Baptist improves to 14-13 on the year and 9-4 in the AMC.

Junior Lauren Fleming (Granbury, Texas) had a team-high 15 kills for the Owls. Junior Nicole Mannino (St. Charles, Mo.) recorded 13 kills in the loss for WWU. Sophomore Alicia Green added nine kills and two blocks for the Owls in the loss.

Sophomore Amanda Henley (Jefferson City, Mo.) had a team-high 26 digs for William Woods. Freshman Sarah Wehmeyer (Carrollton, Texas) recorded 28 assists for the Owls. Sophomore Emily Nolte (Higginsville, Mo.) added 23 assists in the loss.

William Woods will return to action on October 21. The Owls will host Lindenwood University at 7 pm in Anderson Arena.
