(CANTON, Mo., Oct. 3)--The William Woods University men's soccer dropped its second match in two days on Sunday. The Owls lost 2-1 at Culver-Stockton College.
Culver-Stockton took a 1-0 lead into the half. The Wildcats added another goal in the 65th minute to take a 2-0 advantage.
WWU cut the lead to one on a goal from freshman
Joao Paulo Dutra Parra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) in the 67th minute. It was the first goal of the season for Dutra Parra. He scored off an assist from junior
Luis Percovich (Coral Springs, Fla.). Percovich now has three assists on the year.
The Owls outshot the Wildcats 13-9. The Owls put seven of its shots on goal, compared to four for CS-C.

Cory Herchenroeder (St. Louis, Mo.) recorded two saves in the loss for WWU.
William Woods (7-2-1) will return to action on October 6. The Owls host American Midwest Conference rival Park University. Kick-off is at 7 pm.
