CMU Tops William Woods

(FULTON, Mo., Nov. 16)--The William Woods University men's basketball team lost to Central Methodist University 64-42 Tuesday night in Anderson Arena. The Owls fall to 0-6 on the season.

CMU took a 31-22 lead into halftime Tuesday night. CMU shot 48% from the field in the opening half. William Woods shot 35.7% from the field in the first 20 minutes of play.

The Owls were outscored 33-20 in the second half in the loss.

The Owls were led in scoring by sophomore Kelsey Bardell (Shape, Belgium) with 11 points. Sophomore Logan Decker (Kansas City, Mo.) added nine points in the loss. WWU was led in rebounding by junior Caleb Parry (Rolla, Mo.) and junior Adam Otto (Lake Ozark, Mo.). They each had five rebounds for the Owls.

CMU (4-2) shot 50% from the field in the win. William Woods shot 30.4% from the field in the loss. The Eagles outrebounded the Owls 36-31.

William Woods will return to action on November 19 and 20. The Owls will compete in the Culver-Stockton College Classic in Canton, Mo. WWU will play host Culver-Stockton on Friday, and Rogers State University on Saturday.
