(HANNIBAL, Mo., Nov. 6)-- The William Woods University men's soccer team advanced on penalty kicks to the Semifinals of the American Midwest Conference Postseason Tournament. The #5 seed Owls tied #4 seed Hannibal-LaGrange University 1-1 through regulation, and two overtime periods. William Woods took the PK's 4-2.

Joao Paulo Dutra Parra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) scored the lone goal in regulation for the Owls. Junior Marcel Carreiro (Curitiba, Brazil) recorded an assist on the play.

H-LG outshot the Owls 21-9. Senior Cory Herchenroeder (St. Louis, Mo.) recorded 11 saves in goal for the Owls.

Hannibal-LaGrange ends its season 13-4-2. William Woods is now 11-6-2. They will return to action November 9 at #1 seed Park University.
