(COLUMBIA, Mo., Dec. 31)--The William Woods University men's basketball team defeated Baker University 68-61 on Friday in the Columbia College Cougars vs. Cancer Classic in Columbia, Mo.

Andrew Miller (Whangamata, New Zealand) led the Owls with 24 points. Miller was 7-for-13 from the field. He was 3-for-7 from beyond the three-point line. Sophomore
Logan Decker (Kansas City, Mo.) added 11 points in the victory. Junior
Adam Otto (Lake Ozark, Mo.) reached double-figures as well for WWU. He scored 10 points while grabbing seven rebounds for the Owls. Freshman
Jonathon Nutt (Palmyra, Mo.) also had seven rebounds for WWU.
The Owls led 25-22 after the first 20 minutes of play. They outscored the Wildcats 43-39 in the second half.
The Owls (5-9) return to action on January 1. WWU will play Kansas Wesleyan University at 4 pm in the CC Cougars vs. Cancer Classic.
