(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Jan. 8)--The William Woods University men's basketball team lost 82-58 to American Midwest Conference rival Harris-Stowe State University Saturday afternoon. The Owls fall to 6-11 on the season and 0-2 in the AMC.
The Owls were led in scoring by
Andrew Miller (Whangamata, New Zealand) with 15 points.
Dontre' Jenkins (New Madrid, Mo.) added 12 points in the loss.
Jonathan Nutt (Palmyra, Mo.) and
Dan Anderson (Jefferson City, Mo.) each grabbed five rebounds for the Owls. The Hornets outrebounded the Owls 35-32.
WWU shot 30.2% from the field in the loss. HSSU shot 55.2% from the field in the win.
WWU will return to action on January 13. The Owls host Hannibal-LaGrange University in another AMC game at 7:30 pm in Anderson Arena.
