The William Woods University volleyball team earned an American Midwest Conference victory Thursday night in Anderson Arena.  The Owls rallied from a 0-2 deficit to defeat Park University 3-2.  The Owls defeated the Pirates 23-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-20 and 16-14.
 
Kristen Bauer (St. Charles, Mo.) led the Owls with 12 kills.  Alicia Green (Midlothian, Texas) added 11 kills for the Owls in the victory.  Green added five blocks for WWU.
 
Sarah Wehmeyer (Carrollton, Texas) led the WWU offense with 37 assists.  Wehmeyer added 15 digs in the win.
 
Amanda Henley (Jefferson City, Mo.) recorded a team-high 22 digs.  Emily Nolte (Higginsville, Mo.) added 15 digs for the Owls.
 
William Woods improves to 14-16 on the season and 7-6 in the AMC.  The Owls have now won three consecutive AMC matches.  Park falls to 16-10 on the year and 7-5 in league play.
 
The Owls return to action October 22.  They travel to St. Charles, Mo., for a 3 pm match against Lindenwood University.
