The 23rd-ranked William Woods University women's basketball team returns to action tonight.  The Owls travel to Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm.
 
The Owls enter the night 1-0 on the season.  They defeated Central Methodist University 55-51 in overtime on Halloween night.  Sharron Andrews (Oakland/Hayward, Calif.) led the Owls with 20 points.  Olivia Storjohann (Eldridge, Iowa) scored 13 points in the win.
 
Tonight is the season opener for Benedictine College.  The Ravens finished the 2010-11 season 19-13 on the season and finished fourth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
 
The Owls and Ravens met once last season.  WWU defeated BC 64-61 in the season opener in Fulton, Mo.  William Woods leads the all-time series between the two schools 4-1.
