The William Woods University men's basketball team dropped a road game Saturday at Lindenwood University-Belleville.  The Lynx defeated the Owls 72-70.  William Woods falls to 1-1 on the season.
 
Seth Thomas led the Owls with 15 points.  Logan Decker (Kansas City, Mo.) added 14 points for the Owls in the loss.  Andrew Miller (Whangamata, New Zealand) scored 11 points, and Jonathon Nutt (Palmyra, Mo.) added 10 points to complete the double-figure scoring totals for William Woods.
 
Miller led the Owls with five rebounds.
 
The Owls shot 41% from the field.  The Lynx outrebounded the Owls 38-36.
 
William Woods returns to action on November 9 versus Central Methodist University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm in Fulton, Mo.
