The William Woods men's basketball team returns to Anderson Arena tonight, hosting the Central Methodist University Runnin' Eagles. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
This is the eight meeting between the teams, and although CMU holds a 7-1 edge, the Owls do hold the honor of collecting the first win in program history over CMU, a 79-79 triumph on Nov. 20, 2007.
Head coach
Nick Totta is in his second year at the helm for William Woods, coming off a record-setting 2010-11 campaign where he posted the most overall wins and most conference wins in a single season.
Logan Decker (Kansas City, Mo.) leads the Owls offensively, averaging 14.5 pts/gm and adding eight assists and four steals on the season.
Daniel Armah (Accra, Ghana) has pulled down a team-high 21 rebounds on the year.
The Owls will hit the road for a three-game swing following tonight's action. They will travel to Springfield, Mo., for games against Baptist Bible College on Friday and Evangel University on Saturday. Tipoff for both games is set for 6 p.m. WWU will finish the road trip at Avila University next Tuesday, with a 7:30 p.m. tip.
