Owls Lose at Columbia

(COLUMBIA, Mo., Feb. 26)--The William Woods University men's basketball team lost at 19th-ranked Columbia College Saturday. The Cougars won the American Midwest Conference match-up 78-59. With the win, Columbia finishes in a tie for first for the AMC regular season championship with McKendree University. The Owls finish the regular season in fourth place.

The Owls were led by Logan Decker (Kansas City, Mo.) with 20 points. Decker was 8-for-11 from the field and 2-for-2 from the foul line. Dan Anderson (Jefferson City, Mo.) added 12 points in the loss. Jonathon Nutt (Palmyra, Mo.) led the Owls with five rebounds and five assists.

Columbia improves to 25-4 on the season and 12-2 in the AMC. WWU falls to 11-18 on the year and 5-9 in league play.

The AMC postseason tournament begins on Thursday. Seeds have yet to be announced.
