The William Woods University men's soccer team returns to action tonight.  The Owls travel to Fayette, Mo., to challenge Central Methodist University.  Kick-off is scheduled for 7 pm.  Live stats will be made available for tonight's match.  To access this feature, visit the William Woods University DakStats web page. 
 
The Owls are coming off an American Midwest Conference victory over Williams Baptist College Tuesday afternoon.  The Owls defeated the Eagles 3-0 on Firley Field to move to 5-1 on the season, and 2-0 in the AMC.
 
Marcelo Carreiro (Curtiba, Brazil) scored with 39 seconds remaining in the opening half to give the Owls a 1-0 advantage.  Carreiro blasted a shot off the crossbar.  The carom hit the WBC goalie in the back of the end and found the net for the first goal of the match.  It was the fourth goal of the season for Carreiro.
 
The Owls found the back of the net again in the 61st minute.  J.P. Parra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) scored off an assist from Paulo Conelian (Sao Paulo, Brazil) to give the Owls a 2-0 lead.  Parra now has a team-high 13 goals.  It was the third assist of the season for Conelian.
 
One minute later the Owls struck again.  Parra found Gentry Coffman (Columbia, Mo.) open on the left post.  He served a pass to Coffman who headed the ball past the goalie to push the lead to three.  It was the first goal of the season for Coffman, and the third assist on the year for Parra.
 
Tyler Subke (Washington, Mo.) earned the shutout victory in goal for the Owls.  Subke recorded five saves for the match.  The Owls now have four shutouts this season.  Today's shutout was the third in a row.
 
WWU took 35 shots on the afternoon.  The Owls put seven shots on goal.  WBC took 11 shots in the match.  They place five shots on goal.
 
CMU enters tonight's match 3-1 on the season.  The Eagles are coming off a 2-1 double overtime victory over Northwestern College on September 10.
 
CMU won the only meeting between the two schools last season.  The Eagles defeated the Owls 1-0 on October 12.  William Woods leads the all-time series between the two schools 7-5-1.
