The William Woods University volleyball dropped an American Midwest Conference match to Columbia College Thursday night.  The Owls lost to the sixth-ranked Cougars 25-10, 25-15 and 25-13 in Columbia, Mo.

Kristen Bauer (St. Charles, Mo.) and Lauren Fleming (Granbury, Texas) each had seven kills for WWU.  Amanda Henley (Jefferson City, Mo.) led the Owls with 11 digs.

William Woods falls to 6-8 on the season and 2-1 in the AMC.  CC improves to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in league play.

The Owls return to action September 19.  WWU will open its home schedule against AMC foe Harris-Stowe State University.  First-serve is scheduled for 7 pm.
