The William Woods University volleyball team is back in action tonight. The Owls take a short drive down the street to Westminster College for a tri-match. The Owls play Central Methodist University at 6 pm, and Westminster at 8 pm.
William Woods is coming off a three-set loss to American Midwest Conference rival Park University on September 27.
Lauren Fleming (Granbury, Texas) led the Owls with nine kills in the loss.
Kristen Bauer (St. Charles, Mo.) added eight kills for the Owls. Fleming and
Melanie Bonk (Hampshire, Ill.) each had three blocks for WWU.
Baily Peterson (Cedarburg, Wis.) recorded a team-high 22 assists.
Central Methodist enters tonight's match 3-10 on the season. The Eagles are coming off a loss to Baker University on September 27. William Woods and CMU met twice last season. The Owls won 3-0 on September 3, and 3-0 on September 10. William Woods leads the all-time series between the two schools 48-14-2.
Westminster College enters tonight's match 4-10 on the year. The Blue Jays are coming off a pair of loses to Webster University and Spalding University on September 24. The Owls and Blue Jays met once last season. William Woods won 3-0 on September 10. The Owls lead the all-time series between the two teams 25-3.
The Owls enter tonight's match 7-10 on the season. After tonight, the Owls return to action October 3. Woods travels to Williams Baptist College for an AMC doubleheader.
