The William Woods University volleyball team opens American Midwest Conference play tonight at Stephens College. First-serve is schedule for 7 pm in Columbia, Mo.
The Owls enter tonight's match 2-6 on the season. WWU is coming off a weekend tournament at MidAmerica Nazarene University. Woods defeated University of St. Mary 3-0 on September 2. They dropped matches to Ottawa University (3-2) and MidAmerica Nazarene University (3-2) on September 3.
Stephens enters tonight's match 0-1 on the season. The Stars opened its season with a 3-0 loss to Missouri Valley College on August 30th.
William Woods leads the all-time series 22-5-1. The Owls defeated the Stars twice last season. They won 3-0 in Columbia, Mo., on November 4, and 3-0 in Fulton, Mo., on October 6.
