Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- A balanced offensive attack helped the William Woods University volleyball team continue its hot-streak, as they defeated Illinois Wesleyan 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-23) on Tuesday night.
After dropping the first set, William Woods (6-9) would take the final three sets with an identical score of 25-23 to seal the victory over the Titans. The Owls have now won a season-high three games in a row, after taking the final two games of the Ashford University Tournament this past weekend.
The Owls were sparked by a balance offensive output, as five player's record six or more kills in the match.
Kristen Bauer led the way with 10 kills, the St. Charles, Mo., native has now collect double-digit kills in four straight games.
Abbie O'Mara also continued her hot-streak as she collected 25 digs. The junior has posted at least 20 digs in eight of her last nine games.
McKenna Hisel and
Shelby Hinshaw collected 13 digs apiece, as William Woods totaled 71 digs for the night.
On the night, William Woods hit .172 with 42 kills.
Melanie Bonk (6) and
Rachel Frabotta (7) posted a season-high in kills.
The Owls return to action on Friday as they take on American Midwest Conference foe Lyon College in the first match of a two-match AMC road trip through Arkansas. First serve is set 7 p.m.
