FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team looks to climb in AMC standings on Tuesday, as the Owls host Hannibal-LaGrange University. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. out at Firley Field.

The Owls(7-4-2; 3-2-2 AMC), are ready to bounce back after is 0-0 (2OT) draw to Freed-Hardeman University last Saturday afternoon. A defensive battle for both teams, which also was a physical one from the beginning whistle, as 42 fouls were called.

Despite the Owls valiant effort, the team couldn't find the winning goal and after 110:00 minutes of play, the AMC match-up between the Lion's and WWU ended in a scoreless tie. Leading the way for WWU in the shot department was
Alex Severino, who recorded a game-high of five shots on the day, while
Brett Hodges and
Jesse Bowers each contributed two shots and
Conor Cable tallied five saves in the net.

On the season, the team has out scored its opponents 32-13, however, as of late the Owls have scored just two goals its last four games, while its opponents have recorded six. WWU has also amassed an impressive 224 shots on the year, while holding its opponents to 155.

Offensively, Severino paces the team in several categories, which includes goals (seven), shots (36) and points (15).Â
Rodrigo Alves has also been a key impact for the Owls in the offensive side, as the sophomore has posted six goals and 28 shots but the midfielder has been sidelined in the team's last three games due to a knee injury.

Another player that has stepped up this season for the Owls, is
Lendell Louis-Jacques, the sophomore has tallied eight assists on the year placing him second in the AMC in the assist category, while ranking him 10
th in the nation.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Owls have maintained strong, and Cable has continued to prove his importance in between the posts, pushing his season total in saves up to 39, while collecting a goals against average of 1.08 in 916:12 minutes.

Hannibal-LaGrange University is currently 6-4-2 on the season and 4-1-1 in the AMC. Â The Trojans are coming off a 2-1 victory against Kansas Wesleyan University this past weekend.

On the season, Manuel Saez has paced HLGU offensively with a team-high eight goals and 42 shots. Another player the Owls will have to keep an eye on is Andres Barrera, who has handed out a team-high five assists on the year.

In the net, Jorge Bravo Gonzalez has amassed 41 saves in 616:19 minutes of play and earning a .880 goals against average.
