In game one, it was the Lady Lynx (17-17; 10-4 AMC), jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, as Nicolle Miskowicz got things going with a one out single. After Jamie Navarro reached base on an error, Miskowicz was able to steal home during Jordyn Klingbeil's at-bat, as Navarro was caught stealing second in the process.

In the bottom of the second, LU-Belleville pushed its lead out to 2-0, helped out by two WWU (15-18; 4-4 AMC) errors, as pinch-runner Mariana Martinez scored on an error by the Owls.

The Lady Lynx offense continued rolling into the bottom of the fourth, as they plated three runs on three hits, as RBI from Makayla Powers and Kaylin Stewart, and scoring another unearned run on a WWU error, extended the teams' lead to 5-0.

The Owls would get one of those runs back in the top of the fifth, as Beth Begemann led the inning off with a home run, which cut the deficit down to 5-1. That, however, would be as close as the team would get, with LU-Belleville hanging on for the four run win.

William Woods scored one run on four hits, but committed four defensive errors. Freshman hurler Allison Waskow was dealt the loss, as she went 6.0 innings, allowing five runs (two earned) on six hits and struck out five. In game two, the Lady Lynx again grabbed the early lead in the home half of the first, as after Kaylin Stewart singled and Miskowicz reached base on a bunt single, Navarro blasted a three run homer on a 2-2 count, over the left field wall, to give LU-Belleville a 3-0 lead.

In the top of the third, the Owls had a chance to narrow the lead, as Sydnae Hatton was on third, after reaching base on an error and Beth Begemann was on first, as she worked a two out walk, but starter Michele Pilster ended the threat, as she got the Owls batter to strike out looking.

In the bottom of the fifth, after a hit-by-pitch, an error and a walk, Navarro struck again, as she cleared the bases with a grand slam, her second home run of the game, to push the lead out to 7-0.

Again the Owls answered right back in the top of the sixth, as pinch-hitter Caroline Sicht, hit her team-high fifth home run on the year to start the inning off, which narrowed the lead down to 7-1.

In the bottom of the sixth, however, the Lady Lynx plated two runs, which gave them a 9-1 lead and ended the game, as the eight run lead after five innings of play, the mercy rule took effect.
