FULTON, Mo. – The No. 25 ranked William Woods University men's basketball team returns back to Anderson Arena for an American Midwest Conference (AMC) showdown against Missouri Baptist University. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Owls (14-7; 10-3 AMC), are coming off a 79-75 victory over Central Baptist College this past weekend, where the team soared to new heights, setting a new school record with its 10
th American Midwest Conference (AMC) win on the season, while also tying the school record of 14 wins on the year.

WWU continues to have a break out season, as the team edged CBC to nab the season series over the AMC newcomers, which now puts WWU in the third seed of the AMC.

On the season, the Owls are currently sitting in third seed of the AMC, averaging 82.5 points per game on the season, which is fourth best in conference. WWU is leading the conference from beyond the arc, shooting 39.0 percent, while owning a field goal percentage of 46.1 on the season.

Deon Pettigrew and
Kevin House guide the Owls, each posting 15.0 points per game, while House leads the team shooting 54.4 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from the three point line. House has also handed out 103 assists on the year, averaging 5.7 per game, which is good enough for seventh in the nation. Meanwhile, Pettigrew sits atop in rebounds (138) and steals (24).

Two other key offensive players for the Owls have been
Austin Lowery and
DJ Johnson, who have pushed their season averages up to 12.0 and 10.6 points per game, respectively.

MBU is coming into the match-up with a 11-6 overall record and own a 6-5 AMC record on the year. The Spartans are currently on a two game skid and in their last outing, the team fell 80-68 to the No. 17 ranked Freed Hardeman.

The last time these two teams matched up on December 3
rd, the Owls were able to hold onto a five point, 73-68 victory over the Spartans. WWU are in hopes to capture the season sweeps over the Spartans.
