FULTON, Mo. – After playing their last two games on the road, the William Woods University Men's Soccer team returns to Firley Field Wednesday to host Central Methodist University in a non-conference match at 5 p.m.

About the Owls
- The Owls enter the contest on Wednesday with a perfect 5-0-0 record on the season. As of Tuesday morning, the Owls are one of two teams that are 5-0-0 on the season. The only other team is defending national champions Rio Grande (Ohio). This is WWU's best start to a season since 2014 when they opened the season 5-0-1.
- William Woods has three shutouts this season, including two shutouts in the past two road contests. The Owls rank second in the NAIA in shutouts on the season.

Rodrigo Alves ranks fourth in the NAIA in game-winning-goals this season. He has two game-winning-goals on the season. He scored the game-winning-goal came against Culver-Stockton on September 3rd. Along with scoring the game-winning goals, Alves leads the team on the season with three goals scored.

Conor Cable has started and played every minute in goal of the Owls this season. He has only allowed two goals on the season, while making 12 saves. He ranks 24th in the NAIA with a 0.390 goals against average per game.
- For the second straight week, the Owls had a player named AMC Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors.
About the Eagles
- The Eagles of Central Methodist enter the game against the Owls with a 2-1-1 record on the season. On September 3rd the Eagles lost 2-0 to Hastings College.
- Central Methodist has only allowed two goals on the season and have recorded three shutouts. Cameron Metcalfe has papered and started all four games in goal for the Eagles and holds a 0.540 goals against average on the season. The lone two goals allowed came against Hastings College in a 2-0 loss.
- On the season, Central Methodist has scored 11 goals on the season; three players are tied for the team lead with two goals apiece.
- Jackson Darnell has scored two game-winning-goals on the season for the Eagles.
- Central Methodist enters the game averaging 15 shots per game. They have a season-high 26 shots their first game of the season against Harris-Stowe State University.

- For the second straight week, the Owls came away with an AMC Men's Soccer Player of the Week honor. This week, the Owls had
Rodrigo Alves named AMC Offensive Player of the Week.
- On the week, Alves scored two goals, the game tying goal against Graceland with four minutes to go in the second half and the game-winning-goal at Culver-Stockton.
- He had six shots on goal last week, including five shots on goal against Culver-Stockton in the 2-0 victory for the Owls.

- The Owls return to action on Saturday, September 10th when they host Ottawa (Kan.) at Firley Field. Kick-off is set for 4 p.m. against Ottawa.
