FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team hosts Lyon College in an American Midwest Conference action on Saturday, October 14, at 3 p.m. at Firley Field.

Last season when the Owls and Scots squared off in Batesville, Arkansas, the Owls came away with a 1-0 victory. Rodrigo Alves scored the lone goal for the Owls.

About the Owls
- The Owls are currently 9-2-3 overall and are 6-0-1 in the AMC
- WWU sits in a tie with Columbia College, 6-0-1, for first place in the AMC. Both teams have 19 points in the AMC
- Over the Owls last 11 games, they are 9-0-2. They have not lost a game since September 1st

- The Scots are 6-3-2 overall and have an AMC record of 5-1-1
- Lyon is currently third in the AMC with 16 points. They are three points behind William Woods and Columbia
- Lyon is coming off a 2-1 double-overtime victory over Park on Tuesday. Ulises Cordova scored both goals for the Scots in the victory. His second goal came with 1:37 left in the second overtime
- Ulises Cordova leads the Scots in goals with six goals on the season. He also has one assist and two game-winning-goals
- Omar Fabila leads the Scots in shots and shots on goal with 28 shots and 14 shots on goal. Fabila has five goals on the season, the second most and he only trails Cordova in goals scored on the team
- Robin Hottenbacher leads the Scots in assists with three on the season. He has appeared in six games for the Scots. He picked up two assists on September 30th against Pharmacy and one in its last game against Park
- Goalkeeper Gianni Santin leads the Scots in saves with 25 saves and a percentage of 0.676

WWU remains at home for another AMC match as they host Harris-Stowe State University on Tuesday, October 17th. Kickoff against the Hornets is set for 5 p.m.
