Volleyball Hosts College of the Ozarks Monday

FULTON, Mo. - The William Woods University volleyball team hosts College of the Ozarks on Monday, October 9th at 7 p.m. in Anderson Arena. This will be the Owls and Bobcats second meeting of the season.

About the Owls
- William Woods is 17-2 overall on the season
- The Owls are on a 15-game win streak and are coming off a thrilling five set victory over Lindenwood University – Belleville, 3-2 (23-25, 20-25, 25-19-, 25-18, 15-9)
- The Owls are ninth in blocks per game as they are averaging 2.37. Kira Krebill leads the Owls with 64 blocks on the season
- The Owls offense ranks 28th in kills per game averaging 13.03 kills per game. Tory Wiley leads the Owls in kills with 165 on the season
- Jessica Jensen leads the Owls in digs collecting 337 on the season and is ranked 25th in the NAIA averaging 5.27 digs
- Brittney Engelbrecht ranks 49th in the nation in assists per set. She is dishing out 9.33 assists per set. She has 597 assists on the season

About the Bobcats
- The Bobcats are 20-4 on the season. They had its seven-game winning streak snapped in its last contest
- College of the Ozarks are coming off a five-set loss to Central Methodist on October 4. Prior to losing to Central Methodist, the last loss for the Bobcats came on September 19th when they lost to William Woods
- The Bobcats are ninth in the NAIA in digs with 1636. Haley Stallings leads the team with 480 digs, averaging 5.5 digs per game and is also ranked tenth in the NAIA
- The Bobcat offense is also ranked tenth in the NAIA with 1168 kills. Alex Spears leads the Bobcats with 272 kills, 36th best in the NAIA, while teammate Dannielle Curnes ranks 50th in the NAIA with 258 kills
- Kayli Grant ranks 45th in the nation in service aces with 35 and she ranks 48th in the nation in total blocks with 74
 
Previous Matchup
- In their previous meeting the Owls won in four sets (21-25, 25-12, 25-13, 25-22).
-The Owls also hit a 0.200 compared to Bobcat 0.098. Tory Wiley led the offense with 12 kills, her second best in the season. Teammate Kate Doerhoff followed closely behind with ten kills.

What's Next
The Owls travel to Des Moines, Iowa to participate in the Grand View University Tournament October 13 and October 14 where they will matchup against No. 15 Montana Tech, University of St. Francis, Rocky Mountain College, and Trinity Christian College.
