Men's Soccer Hosts Missouri Baptist in AMC Quarterfinals

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's soccer team hosts Missouri Baptist University in the AMC Quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon at Firley Field. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
 
The Owls are the top seed in the AMC Tournament and will host every contest they are in at Firley Field. Missouri Baptist enters the tournament as the eighth seed. Owl fans, remember to "Fill the Hill" for the AMC Quarterfinals matchup. Admission for Saturday's game is FREE. Bring your appetite, as MoJo's BBQ and Grill will be in attendance.
 
About the Owls
- The Owls enter the postseason with a record of 13-2-3 on the season and 10-0-1 in the AMC
- This is the Owls first time in school history finishing atop the standing
- The Owls have not lost a game since September 1st when they were defeated 3-0 by Olivet Nazarene
- WWU is coming off a 5-2 victory over Park University on October 25th. The win clinched the top seed for the Owls in the AMC Tournament
- Rodrigo Alves leads the Owls with 12 goals on the season. His 12 goals are also the most by a single player in the AMC
- Alves also leads the AMC in points as he has 28 points (12 goals, 4 assists) on the season
- Darren Wilson is third in the AMC in points with 20 and Anthony Moscatello is fifth with 18 points
- WWU ranks fifth in the nation in shutouts with nine on the season
- Conor Cable leads the Owls in goal as he has started 15 games this season. He has only allowed 10 goals this season and has 49 saves. He has all nine Owl shutouts on the season
- The Owls are scoring 2.28 goals per game, which leads the AMC
- During AMC play this season, William Woods only allowed four goals
 
About the Spartans
- Missouri Baptist enters the AMC Tournament with a record of 7-10 on the year and 5-6 in AMC play
