Men’s Basketball Opens Home Schedule Thursday

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team hosts Culver-Stockton College on Thursday, November 9th in the Owls first game of the season at Anderson Arena. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
 
About the Owls
- WWU enters the contest against the Wildcats with a 1-3 overall record
- The Owls are coming off a 70-65 loss to Central Methodist on Tuesday night
- DaShaun Stark leads the Owls in scoring this season as he is averaging 15.5 points per game. He scored a season-high 19 points against Missouri Valley this season
- Senior Darrien Dickey leads the Owls in rebounding as he is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. He has 14 offensive rebounds and 15 defensive rebounds on the week
- WWU is shooting 40.1 percent from the floor on the season
- The Owls have struggled shooting from behind the arc as they are shooting 23.4 percent on three-pointers
- William Woods has two players scoring in double-figures this season, Stark (15.5) and Dickey (11.5)

- Culver-Stockton ranks sixth in the nation with 15 blocks on the season. They are averaging five blocks per game, the ninth best mark in the nation
- The Wildcats had a season-high six blocks on November 4th against Columbia College
- Tarae Potter ranks second in the nation in assists per game as he is averaging 7.3 assists per game. He is fifth in the nation with 22 assists on the season
- Mike Johnson leads the Wildcats in scoring averaging 24.3 points per game.
- Colin Jones, who has only appeared in one game, scored 30 points against Hannibal-LaGrange on 9-of-12 shooting
