Men’s Basketball Heads to Freed-Hardeman for AMC Quarterfinals Thursday

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team will open up the AMC Championship by playing fourth seed Freed-Hardeman University in the Quarterfinals on Thursday, March 2nd in Henderson, Tennessee.
 
AMC Tournament
- The Championship will run on Thursday, March 2; Saturday, March 4; and Tuesday March 7. The higher seed will host each match-up, and the bracket will not be re-seeded prior to the semifinal round. All games in the AMC Championship will be streamed live and on demand on the AMC Sports Network, with the host schools handling the production of the broadcasts. The week night games will tip-off at 7 p.m., while the Saturday tilts will begin at 3 p.m.

About the Owls
- William Woods enters the AMC Quarterfinals with a 20-10 overall record and have won four in a row and seven of its last eight contests
- WWU is coming off a 65-57 victory over than No. 3 Columbia College. The win for the Owls was its second victory in program history over Columbia
- On Tuesday, Trey Mitchell was named NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week. In his lone game this week he scored 31 points, third most in program history for the Owls

- Freed-Hardeman enters the AMC Quarterfinals with a 19-11 overall record. The Lions have won its last two games
