Men's Basketball Looks For Win Monday Night Against Lincoln College (Ill.)

FULTON, Mo. - The William Woods University men's basketball team playes their second game in Anderson Arena Monday, Nov. 19th as they face Lincoln College (Ill.). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

WWU men's basketball will be the only game Monday night. 

About Lincoln 
The Lynx are playing in their first ever season as a member of the NAIA after spending their time competing in the NJCAA. In their season opener, Lincoln defeated Saint Xavier University 82-73. 

Last time out, the Lynx fell 74-66 to No. 16 University of Saint Francis. Prior to the St. Francis loss, Lincoln College fell 87-77 to No.  23 Bethel College.

Trayvon Tyler lead the Lynx with 23ppg. He scored a seson high 23 points against Oliver Nazarene on Nov.6th. 

Lincoln is also being led by Darnell Latham whose 13.8ppg put him second on the team in scoring. 

About the Owls 
WWU enters the contest coming of a 78-73 loss to Park in their conference opener. Austin Curry led the Owls with 12 points and also grabbed 6 rebounds. David Johnson Jr. and Codi Whitlock followed with 11 points each. 

William Woods is also coming of 80-57 exhibition loss to Division II Drury University. This was the first of three exhibition contests the Owls will play this season. 

WWU currently holds two Top 25 national rankings. They currently rank 12th overall in th nation in total blocks (26) and 18th overall in blocks per game (4.3). 

Johnson Jr. and Curry are they only William Woods players with national rankings. Johnson Jr. currently ranks 20th overall in offensive rebounds (3) and 21st overall in the nation in total blocks (9). 

Curry currenly ranks 28th overall in the nation in total rebounds (47) and 49th overall in total scoring with 98 points on the season so far. 

Monday nights contest will be the first meeting between the Lynx and the Owls. 

A win over Lincoln will give WWU their first win since Nov. 2 when they defeated Grandview University.
