Owls Seek 10th Win of the Season Saturday Afternoon as They Host St. Louis College of Pharmacy

FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball team returns Saturday, Jan. 12th as they face St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
 
Game Info
There will be free admission Saturday afternoon due to the induction of the 2019 WWU Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held Sunday, Jan. 13th in Cutlip Auditorium in the McNutt Campus Center. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m.
 
About Pharmacy
St. Louis Pharmacy enters the contest 3-13 overall and 2-7 in the American Midwest Conference. They got off to a slow start losing eight games straight. They finally captured their first win Nov.29th when they defeated Lindenwood-Belleville 77-66.
 
Since the new year, the Eutectics are 1-1. They suffered a 91-73 loss to Freed-Hardeman and Jan. 3rd. On Jan. 5th they got their third win of the season over Williams Baptist in a 78-63 victory.
 
Leading the way for St. Louis Pharmacy is RJ Wright who is currently averaging 19.4ppg. He scored a career high 38 points in a 123-118 overtime loss to Blackburn College.
 
Following behind Wright is Darius Dorsey whose 17.3ppg puts him second on the team in scoring. On Nov. 8th he scored career high of 35 points in their loss to Blackburn College.
 
About William Woods
After winning five straight games, the Owls we finally slowed down Thursday, Jan. 10th in a 70-56 loss to Hannibal-LaGrange.  Jesse Frost-Dixon recorded his first double-double in the contest scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
                                                 
With a 9-6 overall and 6-3 AMC record, William Woods currently sits in third place of the American Midwest Conference.
 
David Johnson Jr. and Treshawn Gause are the only WWU players with national rankings. Johnson. Jr. currently ranks 19th overall in total blocks (24), 21st overall in blocks per game (1.6), 47th overall in total scoring (261 total points) and 50th overall in points per game (17.4).

Gause is currently ranked 46th overall in the nation for total assists (55).
