Owls Fall to Lincoln College 5-0

LINCOLN, Ill. – The William Woods men's soccer team recorded a loss to Lincoln College (Ill.) on Wednesday evening, 5-0. The Owls are 3-9 on the season and 1-4 in the AMC.

The Owls will face Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge, Ark. on October 11 at 2 p.m.
 
Game Flow
The Owls had two opportunities to get on the board six minutes into the game, could not connect.
 
Adrian Roman gave the Lynx their first goal of the game with 6:38 on the clock, 1-0.
 
At the 30 minute mark, Abdoulaye Sylla extended the Lynx lead, 2-0.
 
A shot attempt by Darren Wilson came up short and was collected by Lynx goalkeeper, Pierson Fleming.
 
The Owls took two more shots in the first half, but none were successful.
 
The Lynx led going into halftime, 2-0.
 
Lincoln College came into the second half with aggression recording four straight shot attempts. Owls goalkeeper, Ben Faherty, made three saves.
 
Josh King tried to get the Owls on the board, but was denied by Fleming.
 
With 62 minutes on the clock, Peter Ukaegbu connected, assisted by Julian Roman, 3-0.
 
Just a minute later, Diego Navia extended the Lynx lead, 4-0.
 
The Owls did not take another shot in the second half.
Ukaegbu recorded his second goal of the match, assisted by Ignacio Ximenez, 5-0.
 
The Lynx went on to shutout the Owls, 5-0.
