FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University Women's Volleyball lost their third conference match of the season Wednesday night as they fell 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-16) to No. 5 Park. WWU is now 16-17 overall and 7-3 in the AMC.

The Owls return to action Friday Nov. 1
as they host the University of Saint Mary (Kan.). The match will also be Senior night for WWU. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
Game Flow
The Pirates got off to an early 2-0 lead before a Nisa Salima kill put the game a 2-1. After a Park kill,
Kate Doerhoff and
Lanie Lowry each committed a kill tying the game 3-3. Both teams continued to trade kills until an Alissa Flint kill sparked a 4-0 run putting Park ahead 24-20.
Down by four,
Remie Johnson was able to find Salima for another kill putting the Owls down three, but the effort was not enough as Park's Noura Meawad connected on an attempt and ended the set 25-21.
Much like the first set, the Pirates got out to an early lead. With the score 4-1, Johnson found Salima once again and put WWU behind 4-2.
William Woods continued to trade kills with the Pirates, but they could not get the advantage.
Midway through the set, Park found themselves ahead 20-16.
The Owls were able to score two more times but eventually lost the set 25-18.
Although the score showed the Park dominated the contest, William Woods played very well against the nationally ranked Pirates.
In the third set, Park continued their momentum as they were able to get out to a 9-5 lead. WWU was able to cut the Pirates lead to two when Johnson and
Jaclyn Zahn committed a block.
While the Owls slowly began to build momentum, Park went on another small run and gained a 20-14 lead.
William Woods went on to score two more times before finally falling 25-16.
Park won the match 3-0.
