FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods men's soccer team picked up their first conference win of the season against Freed-Hardeman Saturday afternoon, 5-1. The Owls are 3-7 on the season and 1-3 in AMC action.

Game Flow
Owls' goalkeeper, Iker Gonzalez started the match off with a save with 43 minutes on the clock.
 
The Lions recorded their first and only goal of the match, kicked by Jack O'Riordan and assisted by Daniel Peinado at the 32 minute mark.
 
The Owls took two shots with 30 minutes remaining in the first half, but both were denied by Lions' goalie, Calum Langdale.
 
Kyle Stead gave the Owls their first goal of the match with 23 minutes to go, 1-1.
 
With 18:49 on the clock, Billy Nzojyibwami found the back of the net giving the Owls a 2-1 advantage.
 
Nzojyibwami was not done yet as scored he scored his second goal of the match at the 8 minute mark, 3-1.
 
The Owls had three more shot attempts before going into the locker room.
 
William Woods led 3-1 after the first period.
 
To begin the second half, Logan Christopher tried to give the Owls more offense, but could not quite connect.
 
With 24 minutes to go, Darren Wilson kicked one past Langdale giving the Owls a 4-1 lead.
 
Nzojyibwami recorded his third and final goal of the contest, assisted by Henrique Tsugiyama, 5-1.
 
The Owls took the match 5-1.
