Owls Fall 3-0 in AMC Semifinal Against No. 1 Seed Park

Box Score PARKVILLE, Mo. – William Woods University Women's Volleyball suffered a 3-0 AMC Championship semifinals loss to No. 1 seed and 5th-ranked Park 3-0 (18-25, 28-30, 13-25) Friday evening. The Owls ended their season in the semifinal round of the AMC Championship with a 19-19 overall record

Game Flow
The Pirates opened the contest jumping out to an early 8-1. After a Park error, William Woods scored four points straight putting them behind three. Park went on to score another point, but Johnson found Allie Konarzewski for a kill putting the Owls behind 9-6.

Park maintained their lead in the first set only allowing the Owls to get with five points before finally taking game one, 25-18.

In game two, WWU was the first to strike as they were able to gain a 6-2 lead. The Pirates were able to score two quick points but a Konarzewski kill put the Owls back up 7-4.

Midway through game two, Mallorie Brooks found Kate Doerhoff for a William Woods kill putting the Owls up 14-11.

The Owls remained ahead majority of the set right up until an error tied the game, 22-22. Park scored back-to-back points giving them their first lead of the game, 24-22.

William Woods refused to disappear, tying the game on a Kuehl kill, but Park continued their momentum and went on to win the second set, 30-28.

After a close game two, Park opened game three getting out to a huge 15-6 lead.

WWU attempted to get back into the game but only got within 10 of the Pirates before finally falling 25-13.

Park went on to capture a AMC Championship Semifinals victory over the Owls.
