FULTON, Mo. – The RV William Woods University men's basketball team returns to action Sat. Feb 2
nd as they host Williams Baptist. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
About Williams Baptist
The Eagles enter the contest 8-12 overall and 5-10 in the AMC which gives them a ninth-place conference standing.
Williams Baptist is currently on a three-game losing streak. Their last time out they fell 75-57 to Columbia on Jan. 31
st.
Leading the way for the Eagles is Devante Carolina. His 17.2ppg puts him first on the team in scoring. Carolina is currently ranked 10
th overall in the nation in steals per game (2.1) and 13
th overall in total steals (41). He also sits in the Top 50 in points per game (17.1).
Following closely behind Carolina, is Briheam Anthony whose 16ppg average puts him second on the team in scoring. He scored a season high 30 points against the Owls in their first meeting of the season.

The Owls enter the contest coming off an 84-73 victory over Freed-Hardeman. WWU still hold the number two spot in the American Midwest Conference.
Treshawn Gause is having an excellent season. He currently holds the 43
rd spot in the nation in assist per game dishing out three per contest. He also ranks 35
th overall in the nation in total assists (80). Last time out Gause led the Owls with 21 points and 8 assists in their victory over Freed-Hardeman.
Makenzie Fessler enters the contest coming of a career night. In the Freed game, Fessler dropped 17 points and snatched down 10 rebounds. He is currently sitting in sixth on the team in scoring with an average of 7.6ppg.
Against the Eagles
WWU currently holds a 13-10 series lead over the Eagles.
In their first meeting of the season, William Woods defeated the Eagles in overtime 109-106.
David Johnson Jr. led with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Austin Curry followed behind with 22 points and 5 rebounds of his own.
