FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University men's basketball hosts Central Baptist in the first round of the American Midwest Conference Tournament Thursday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Anderson Arena.

The ticket prices are set by the Conference and remain at last year's prices - $5 for adults and $2 for students with IDs/children under 12.  Only passes accepted for free admission are NAIA passes.

About Central Baptist
The Mustangs end their 2018-19 regular season 19-10 overall and 12-10 in the AMC. This season, they averaged 77ppg for a total of 2,255 points. As a team they shot 46% from the field, 35% from three-point territory and 67% from the free throw line.
 
They currently hold eight Top 25 National rankings; 6^th overall in total rebound margin (8.8), 9^th overall in scoring defense per game (68ppg), 10^th overall in total defensive rebounds (31), 12^th overall in 3-Pt FG Pct. Percell Washington has been on a tear this season. His 18.3ppg puts him first on the team in scoring. So far this season he has totaled 532 points and 288 rebounds. He currently holds seven national rankings; 4^th overall in field goal percentage (65%), 5^th overall in total rebounds (288), 5^th overall in offensive rebounds per game (3.4), 7^th overall in total rebounds (9.9), 12^th overall in defensive rebounds oer game (6.5), 22^nd overall in total scoring (532) and 29^th overall in points per game (18.3).  Washington has also been named AMC Player of the Week twice this season.
 
Following closely behind Washington, is Victor Dukes who is currently averaging 16.2ppg for a total of 405 points on the season. On Nov. 23^rd he scored a career high 31 points against Adams State. He currently holds four national rankings; 24^th overall in offensive rebounds per game (2.7), 29^th overall in total rebounds per game (8.3), 37^th overall in defensive rebounds per game (5.6) and 49^th overall in total rebounds (208). He was also named AMC Player of the Week this season.
 
2018 American Midwest Conference Tournament/ NAIA National Championship
Last season the Mustangs fell 87-73 to RV Harris-Stowe, but because they were named 2018 AMC regular season champs, they received an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship. In the first round of nationals, CBC fell 79-74 to No. 9 Georgetown College.
 
About William Woods
The Owls ended their 2018-19 campaign 18-11 overall and 15-7 in the AMC. Over the course of 29 games, they've averaged 75.3ppg for a total of 2,184 points. As a team they shot 42% from the field, 33% from three-point line and 74% from the foul line. WWU currently holds three Top 25 National rankings. They rank 12^th overall in free throw percentage (74%), 20^th overall in turnover margin (2) and 25^th overall in total blocks (98).
 
Treshawn Gause has stepped up big for William Woods this season. Their last time out he became the all-time leader for steals in a single season (43), he is also second in program history for single season assists (120). Outside of steals and assists he has emerged as the teams second leading scorer with 11ppg. Gause also holds four national rankings; 23^rd overall in total assists (120), 26^th overall in assists per game (4.1), 41^st overall in free throw percentage (79%) and 46^th overall in total steals (43).
 
David Johnson Jr. has also played well this season. His 15.8ppg puts him first on the team and scoring. Over the course of 28 games he has accumulated 442 total points, 173 rebounds and 43 blocks which puts him first in program history for single season blocks. He is currently ranked 15^th overall in the nation in total blocks (43) and 16^th overall in blocks per game (1.5). Johnson has also been named AMC Player of the Week.
