LINCOLN, Ill. –The William Woods University men's basketball team closed out their non-conference portion of their schedule with a road contest at Lincoln College (Ill.). Turnovers plagued the Owls, resulting in a 91-66 loss. The Owls fall to 15-8 on the season.
Codi Whitlock recorded his first collegiate double-double after shooting 75 percent from the field for 18 points. He pulled down 12 rebounds to complete the double-double with eight coming from the defensive end.
The Owls host Harris-Stowe State University for the American Midwest Conference Game of the Week on Saturday, Feb. 9. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.
Game Flow
The Owls shot .438 in the first half, hitting 14 of their buckets. They held a seven-point lead over Lincoln with 3:05 to go in the first half, but Lincoln cut the game to two by the time the buzzer went off, 37-35.
Lincoln went on to outscore the Owls 56-29 in the second half to grab the 91-66 win over the Owls.
