FULTON, Mo. – RV William Woods University men's basketball returns to Anderson Arena Saturday, Feb. 9, as they take on Harris-Stowe in the AMC Game of the Week. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.

The American Midwest Conference Association of Student-Athletes (AMC-ASA) will be hosting a "week of giving" benefiting the American Red Cross, #AMCHoopsForRedCross. This event will be taking place Saturday afternoon where there will be collection buckets for anyone wanting to donate to the American Red Cross.

About Harris-Stowe
The Hornets enter the contest 14-9. They are currently 9-8 in the AMC which puts them in sixth place. HSSU had their five-game winning streak broke with Thursday's loss to Columbia. During the streak, they were able to upset No. 3 Missouri Baptist 74-70 in overtime. Since then, they have defeated St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Williams Baptist, Lindenwood-Belleville and Wilberforce University.
Nate Rigmaiden leads the way for Harris-Stowe with 19.8ppg. In their win over Williams Baptist, he scored a season high 36 points. He also made a season high six three pointers in the contest. Rigmaiden currently ranks 15
th overall in the nation in points per game (19.8), 31
st overall in 3-Pt Fg made per game (2.6) and 46
th overall in total scoring (376).
Deandre Clark is also playing very well for the Hornets. His 17.3ppg puts him second on the team in scoring. He scored his season high on Jan. 8
th where he recorded 29 points against Hannibal-LaGrange. Clark currently holds six Top 50 rankings.
About William Woods
Head Coach James Hayes is one game away from earning his 50
th career win. Hayes was named Head coach at the midway point of the 2016-17 season. Since then, he has led the Owls to an AMC Conference Championship game and back-to-back AMC Conference tournaments.
William Woods is currently sitting at 15-8 overall and 12-4 in the AMC which keeps them in second place. Their last time out they fell 91-66 to Lincoln College (Ill.).
Prior to the Lincoln College loss, the Owls won two straight, defeating Freed-Hardeman on Jan. and Williams Baptist on Feb. 2.
Treshawn Guase as been playing well for WWU. Over the last few games he has increased in scoring average to 10.5ppg putting him third on the team in scoring. He also leads the team in assist dishing out 82 so far this season. Guase currently ranks 31
st overall in the nation for total assists.
Also playing well for the Owls, is
David Johnson Jr. He has been leading the team in scoring the entire season. He currently sits at 16.6ppg. Johnson Jr. also leads the team with 35 blocks on the season. Johnson Jr. currently holds two Top 25 rankings; he is 16
th overall in blocks per game (1.6) and 17
th overall in total blocks.
Last time Against HSSU
On Jan. 22 the Owls walked away with a 78-71 road victory over the Hornets. Johnson Jr. led with 26 points and 13 rebounds in the contest. Gause followed with 12 points of his own.
Makenzie Fessler also chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds.
