Owls Fall 1-2 to Missouri Baptist

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The William Woods men's soccer team fell to Missouri Baptist, 2-1 in today's contest. The Owls move to 2-6 on the season and 0-2 in the AMC.

The Owls will return to action September 25 against No. 11 Columbia College at 7:30 p.m. at Firley Field.
 
Game Flow
At the 40 minute mark, Darren Wilson got the Owls started offensively attempting a shot that went high.
 
Iker Gonzalez made two back-to-back saves for the Owls with 28 minutes on the clock.

Gonzalez recorded two more saves during the first half, keeping the Spartans from taking the lead.

Nzojyibwami recorded a shot, however it was denied by Giangrande.
 
The Owls had two more opportunities to take the lead, but missed the back of the net.
With 85:35 on the clock, the Spartans were able to connect and take the lead, with a shot from Jona Oesterling, 2-1.
 
That would be the Spartans final goal of the match as they went on to win 2-1.
