FULTON, Mo. – William Woods University Men's Soccer returns to the field Wednesday Sept. 25
th as they host No.11 Columbia College. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Firley Field.
About Columbia
The Cougars enter the contest a perfect 7-0 overall and 1-0 in the American Midwest Conference which places them at 4
th in the AMC. So far this season they have shutout three of their opponents; Judson,
Bellevue and Benedictine (Kan.).
Their last time out they defeated Lyon in double overtime 3-1. Prior to the victory, they beat Benedictine (Kan.) 1-0.
As a team the Cougars hold two national rankings. They rank 21
st overall in total shutouts (3) and 24
th overall in shutouts per game (.43). Columbia also has three players with national honors. Ryan Harrisskitt ranks 10
th overall in goals against per game (.57).
Mako Makoanyane ranks 19
th overall in total game winning goals (2) and 48

Nick Brandt is the final Cougar with national rankings. He ties Makoanyane in game winning goals per game (.3) as well as game winning goals per game (.3)
About William Woods
The Owls enter the contest 2-6 overall and 0-2 in AMC play. They captured their first win of the season on Aug. 30
th when they defeated Doane College 2-0. On Sept. 5
th they captured their latest win over No. 14 Bellevue University 3-2.
Since then, they have fell to Northwestern College, Lindenwood-Belleville and Missouri Baptist.
As unit, WWU ranks 45
th overall in total saves (41).
Iker Gonzalez is the only Owl with national rankings. He sits 29
th overall in saves per game (6) and 35
