Box Score FULTON, Mo. – The William Woods University women's basketball team had their impressive winning streak snapping following a rough third quarter against No. 11 Lyon College. The 62-56 loss was the Owls' first loss in Anderson Arena since Feb. 2, 2019. Lyon snapped the Owls' 11-game winning streak, bringing the Owls to 19-5 on the season with a 13-5 conference mark.
The Owls travel to Harris-Stowe State University on Thursday, Feb. 13, for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.

Game Flow
After
Kasey Hazell scored the first basket of the game following the tip, Lyon took up a six-point lead with 6:33 to play, 12-6.
A three from
Jazlyn Drake knocked the game to three, but Lyon went back up by six on the next possession.
Two free throws from
Peyton Greenlee started an Owls 7-0 run to close out the quarter with a one-point lead, 16-15.
The lead flipped four times at the start of the second quarter, but a two from Hazell gave the Owls a 21-20 advantage just under three minutes in.
Both teams traded points over the next four minutes until Greenlee hit a wide-open lay up from Drake to take up a five-point lead. The Owls closed out the half with a 6-0 run to hold a 31-24 lead over Lyon.
Lyon pushed a 9-0 run coming into the second half.
Caitlin Hicks went 1-for-2 from the foul line to pause the run just over three minutes into the quarter, but Lyon added four more to take a five-point lead with 5:10 on the lock, 32-27.
The Owls were held to just eight points in the third while Lyon put up 21 to take a 45-39 lead at the end of three.
Lyon pushed their lead to 11 with 7:27 left in the game, 50-39.
The Owls cut the game to nine twice, and a three from
Rylie Cox brought the Owls within eight with 4:43 to play.
Lyon and WWU traded baskets, keeping Lyon with the lead.
With just under a minute to play, Gerald hit back-to-back threes to cut the game to five, 61-56.
The Owls were unable to hit another shot while Lyon went 1-for-2 from the foul line to end the game with a 62-56 loss.
